Privacy Policy
This page explains what happens to your information when you contact ARCED — what our estimate form actually collects, what we do with the photos you send, which outside companies touch any of it, and how to have it deleted. Plain English, no legal fog.
The short version.
If you read nothing else on this page, read these six lines. Everything below is the same thing said carefully.
What's on this page
Fifteen short sections. Jump to whichever one you actually came here for.
Who we are, and what this policy covers
ARCED General Services LLC is a registered home improvement contractor working across Northern New Jersey — renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, additions, electrical and property work. We are small and owner-operated. There is no privacy department here; there is a crew, an office, and a phone that gets answered.
This policy covers two things:
- arcedllc.com — the website you are reading right now, including the estimate request form on the homepage and the careers page.
- Lead forms we run inside Facebook and Instagram ads — the ones you fill out without leaving the app. Section 04 explains how those work, because they are genuinely different.
This policy is about your information wherever we keep it — including inside hq.arcedllc.com, the private, password-protected system our staff use to run jobs and schedules. That is where your request lands and gets worked on. There is nothing there for the public to sign into, and no way in from this website.
We are registered with the State of New Jersey as a home improvement contractor: NJ HIC #13VH14140400.
What we collect when you request an estimate
There is exactly one form on this entire website — the estimate request form on the homepage. Here is every field it has, and nothing is hidden behind them.
- Your name Required.
- Phone number Required. It is how we call you back.
- Email address Required.
- Project type Required. Picked from a dropdown — kitchen, bathroom, addition, and so on.
- ZIP code Required. Five digits, so we know whether the job is in our area.
- Project description Required. Up to 5,000 characters, in your own words.
- Budget range Optional. A dropdown. Leave it blank if you would rather not say.
- Timeline Optional. A dropdown.
- Photos Optional. Up to 12 images, up to 25 MB each. The picker offers JPEG, PNG and HEIC; other common image formats go through too if you drag them in. Section 03 covers these.
That is the complete list of what the form asks for. It does not ask for your date of birth, a Social Security number, a credit card, or anything else financial — and we would not want you typing any of that into it.
It does not ask for your street address either. But once we book a visit we obviously need it, so it goes on your file along with our notes. And if you hire us, the file keeps growing: the estimate, the invoice, what you paid and how we recorded it, receipts for materials we bought for your job, and photos and documents from the job while it runs. That is a job record, not a marketing profile, and section 09 explains why we hold on to it.
The form also does not record your IP address or which browser you are using. Those two fields exist in our system and are left empty on purpose; nothing on the page fills them in.
One thing that is true of every website, including this one: our web host keeps its own ordinary server logs of the requests it serves, the way every web server on the internet does. That happens underneath our site, at the hosting level, not because of anything our pages collect.
Photos you attach
Photos help enormously — a picture of the actual bathroom beats three paragraphs describing it. If you attach some, here is exactly what happens to them.
Your request is saved first. Then each photo is uploaded to private file storage held by our database and file storage provider, filed under a folder tied to your request. Only signed-in users of our internal system can open them. We do not publish the photos you send us through the form, they are not browsable from this website, and nobody else who fills out the form can reach them.
Your photo file goes up exactly as you sent it
We do not re-save, compress or scrub the file. That matters because photos taken on a phone usually carry hidden details inside the file itself — the date and time it was taken, and often the GPS location of where you were standing. That information comes along with the photo and gets stored with it.
Two things actually strip it: turn location off for your camera app before you shoot, or take a screenshot of the photo and send the screenshot instead.
You are also welcome to skip the form and email your photos to hello@arcedllc.com with a note about what to look at. That is a fine way to reach us, but be clear that it is not a fix for the paragraph above — an emailed attachment carries the same hidden details through untouched, and it lands in our mailbox instead of our file storage.
Photos we take at your job are a different thing
While we are working we photograph the job — for our own records, and sometimes to show the work. Finished-project photos may end up on this website, on our Instagram, or on our Google listing. Being straight with you about that matters, because "real photos, no stock" is something we say about ourselves and mean.
When we do use one, we show the work and not you. Your name and your street address never go with a photo, and we never label one with the town it was taken in. We keep people and personal belongings out of frame where we can.
If you would rather we did not use photos of your job at all, say so — tell the crew on site, or email hello@arcedllc.com — and we will note it on your file. It changes nothing about your price, and it is not a favor you are asking for.
The photos you upload through the estimate form are separate from all of that. Those are there so we can price your work, and we do not publish them.
We sometimes use an AI assistant to help price materials
When we work up an estimate, we sometimes use an AI tool to help identify materials and look up current pricing. When we do that, your project description, your ZIP code and your photos can be sent to the company that runs it — Anthropic — for that purpose and nothing else. It is never automatic and never triggered by you submitting the form; it happens when a person here sits down to price your job.
If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will price your job without putting your photos through it.
Leads from Facebook and Instagram ads
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. Some of those ads carry a short form you can fill out without ever leaving the app — Meta calls it an instant form. That form is hosted by Meta, not by us. It is a different thing from the estimate form on this website, and it is worth understanding the difference.
- Meta collects your answers, and Meta keeps a copy. What Meta does with that copy is governed by their own privacy policy, not by this one. You can read it at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
- Meta may fill the form in for you. Instant forms pre-fill from what is already on your Facebook or Instagram profile, so your name, email address and phone number can reach us without you ever typing them. Look at what is in the fields before you tap submit.
- We receive your details from Meta — typically your name, phone number, email address, and your answers to whatever the ad asked — and we use them to contact you about the project you inquired about.
- Expect us to reach out. Submitting the form is a request to be contacted. Section 06 explains how to stop that.
- We do not sell lead information. Not to other contractors, not to lead brokers, not to anyone, under any circumstances.
- We can delete our copy, not Meta's. Email us and we will remove what we hold. Meta's copy sits on their side; that one you would take up with them through your Facebook or Instagram settings.
Information you submit through a Facebook or Instagram lead form is handled as described in this policy. Once it reaches us from Meta, everything else on this page applies to it exactly the same way it applies to a request sent from this website.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to:
- Call, text or email you back about your project.
- Work out a price and put together an estimate.
- Schedule a visit, and do the work if you hire us.
- Keep our own records of the jobs we have quoted and completed.
- Show the finished work — photos of the job itself, on the terms set out in section 03.
That is the list. We do not run a newsletter, and we do not build advertising profiles out of what you tell us about your house.
We may email a past customer now and then — to ask for a review of a job we finished, or to check in about work we did for you. Tell us to stop and we take you off that list for good.
We do not sell your information. We share it only in three situations: with the service providers in section 07 that keep this website and our office running; with people working on your job who need it to do the work — a supplier delivering to your address, or a licensed trade we bring in for permitted plumbing or electrical; and where the law requires us to hand something over.
Calls, texts and emails — and how to stop them
Sending us an estimate request — here or through a Facebook or Instagram form — is a request to be contacted. So expect a call, a text or an email from us about that project. That is not marketing; that is us answering you.
Not everything you get from us is typed out by hand. Our office system sends some email on its own — your estimate or your invoice as an attachment when it is ready, or a note when your job moves to the next step. Those come from the system rather than from somebody's inbox, but a person here is always the one who set them going.
You are never required to agree to marketing messages in order to get an estimate from us. If you want a price and nothing else, that is fine, and it changes nothing about what we quote you.
To stop hearing from us, any one of these works:
- Text back and say stop. You are texting a person here, not a system, so plain words work.
- Tell us on the phone. Just say it — we would rather know.
- Email hello@arcedllc.com and say so.
We will stop. We would rather you tell us to back off than sit there ignoring a contractor.
The companies that help us run this
We are a contractor, not a software company, so a handful of outside services do specific jobs for us. This is the whole list and what each one actually touches.
- Hostinger Hosts this website and serves you the pages you are reading, and runs our hello@arcedllc.com mailbox — so anything you email us is stored there too.
- Supabase Our database and file storage provider. Your estimate request is saved there, and so are any photos you attach — and, once you hire us, your job file: the estimate, the invoice, payment records, material receipts, and photos and documents from the job.
- evrlit The independent studio that built and looks after this website and our internal system, and that helps us with our email and our online listings. Doing that work means they can reach what is stored there.
- Resend Sends our email for us. That covers the alert telling us a new request came in — your name, phone number, project type, town or ZIP, and the beginning of your message — and, once you are a customer, your estimate or invoice as a PDF attachment and notices as your job moves along. It also carries a daily summary to our own office that lists customer names and outstanding balances.
- Apple and Google calendars Our job schedule is subscribed to on our own phones. The calendar entry for your job carries your name, the job title and our scheduling notes.
- Google Fonts Supplies the typefaces this page is set in. Downloading a font means Google's servers see your IP address — the same as any file your browser fetches.
- jsDelivr A code library service our homepage loads a few small scripts from. It sees your IP address for the same reason.
- Anthropic Our AI provider. Two things reach it. Your description, ZIP code and photos when a person here is pricing your job, which section 03 explains. And your name, town, ZIP code and project type as part of the business summary our staff assistant reads whenever we ask it a question about our schedule or our pipeline.
- Meta Facebook and Instagram. If you reached us through an ad form, see section 04. We also post finished-job photos to our Instagram, on the terms in section 03.
Every one of these is a company doing a job for us, not a company we hand your information to for their own purposes.
We also link to our Instagram page from the footer. That is a plain link — clicking it takes you to Instagram, but there is no Instagram code embedded in our pages watching you before you click, and the link is set so Instagram is not even told which page you came from.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
As of the date at the top of this page, arcedllc.com:
- Sets no cookies.
- Keeps no cookies and no stored data about you in your browser between visits.
- Runs no Google Analytics, and no other analytics tool.
- Has no Facebook or Meta pixel installed.
- Has no advertising or retargeting trackers of any kind.
There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to ask you about.
We are not going to claim that will be true forever. We do advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and at some point we may add Meta's measurement pixel so we can tell which ads actually bring in work. If we add that — or anything else that tracks visitors — we will say so on this page and change the date at the top. The date at the top is always the date of the most recent change, so if it has not moved, nothing has.
How long we keep your information
We keep estimate requests, photos and our notes for as long as we need them to serve you and to keep honest records of the work we have quoted and done. Once a job is real, the same goes for the file behind it — the estimate, the invoice, payment records, material receipts, and the photos and documents from the job itself.
We are not going to pretend that is a precise number. In contracting it usually is not: a warranty question, a permit question or a dispute can come up years after a job ends, and the file is the answer. So we do not delete records on a timer.
If you would rather yours went away sooner, ask us. Section 10 explains how.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email hello@arcedllc.com or call 201.815.1823 and tell us what you want:
- A copy of the estimate request you sent us.
- A correction, if we wrote something down wrong.
- The estimate request you sent us, and the photos attached to it, deleted.
We will take care of it. A real person handles these by hand — there is no portal, no ticket number, and no automatic switch that does it for us. A person removes the request and the photos by hand. We are also not going to promise you a guaranteed turnaround, because some weeks the whole crew is on a job site. If a few days go by and you have not heard back, call us. The phone works better than email for anything urgent.
One limit worth saying out loud rather than burying: if you have already hired us, the job file stays. Permit questions, warranty questions and payment records all depend on it, and we have to be able to answer for work we did. The original estimate request and the photos you sent with it still go.
Two honest notes. First, New Jersey's privacy law is written for companies far larger than us, and for companies that sell personal data — so most of it does not reach a contractor our size. We do this anyway; it is your information. Second, we can only delete what we hold. A copy sitting on Meta's servers, or an email in your own sent folder, is outside our reach.
Job applications
Our careers page has no form on it. Applying means sending an email to hello@arcedllc.com.
So whatever you put in that email is what we get — your work history in the body, and whatever you attach: a résumé, and sometimes a license or a work-authorization document, because some of our postings ask for those. It arrives in our inbox and stays there. We use it to consider you for work and for nothing else, and we do not send it on to anyone else — it stays with the people here who do the hiring, and the providers in section 07 that run our mailbox.
One request before you send anything. Do not email us a photo of your driver's license, your Social Security card or anything like it until we ask you for it. Our inbox is an ordinary email inbox. There is no reason for a document like that to be sitting in it before we have even had a conversation, and if we need it we will tell you when and how.
Ask us to delete it and we will.
Children
This site is meant for adults hiring a contractor. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If you believe a child has sent us something, email hello@arcedllc.com and we will delete it.
Keeping your information safe
Your estimate request is stored in a database that only signed-in users of our internal system can read. Someone filling out the form cannot read it back afterwards, and neither can anyone else on the internet. Photos sit in private storage that is not reachable from the public web. Access is limited to the people who need it to run your job — our own staff, and the studio named in section 07 that maintains the system for us.
We are not going to quote you an encryption standard or wave a certification at you. We are a contracting company, and we would rather tell you the truth than impress you with a term neither of us verified. What is true is this: no method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
If something we hold is ever exposed, we will tell the people affected. And where New Jersey law requires it, we will report it to the State Police first — that is the order the statute sets, and we would follow it.
Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle your information, we change this page and update the date at the top. That date is always the date of the most recent change.
If a change is significant — a new tracking tool on the site, a new company handling your data, a different way we use what you send — we will describe it here in plain language rather than quietly editing a sentence and hoping nobody notices.
